Africa is the youngest continent on Earth, with a working-age population projected to reach 600 million by 2030. Yet the continent is haemorrhaging its most precious resource before it can even reach a classroom.

Africa’s education crisis in perspective.
According to the UNESCO Institute for Statistics and the GEM Report's 2025 SDG 4 Scorecard, 118 million children, adolescents, and youth across Africa are currently out of school. While 75 million more African children have been enrolled in school since 2015, the number of out-of-school children has actually increased by 13.2 million during the same period.
The crisis deepens at every level. UNESCO reports that while primary education completion in sub-Saharan Africa improved from 46% in 2000 to 68% in 2024, upper secondary completion rates rose from just 18% to a mere 28% in 2024. Perhaps most damning of all, the World Bank's learning poverty metric reveals that more than 80% of children in sub-Saharan Africa cannot read and understand a simple sentence by age 10.
Beyond statistics, this represents a continent's future being quietly extinguished, one classroom at a time, from the crowded schools of Uganda to the fragile regions of South Sudan and the DRC.

Constructed and equipped classroom blocks that improved learning environments for 3000+ students, reducing overcrowding and improving retention.
Improved Retention
Girls’ retention improved through the provision of gendered toilets and menstrual hygiene facilities in supported schools.
Kadindimo Primary School
Funded and managed construction of a five-classroom block, fully electrified and fitted with 150 custom-built desks. Projected to serve 3,000+ pupils over five years. Created income for 78 community members and trained them in sustainable interlocking-brick technology.
Lyakibirizi Core Primary School
Constructed a 3-classroom block with 90 custom-made desks, directly benefiting 547+ students who previously learned under a tree shade.
