Movit Foundation Donates Cutting-Edge Incubator to St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor in Northern Uganda
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare access for all, Movit Foundation has donated a state-of-the-art incubator to St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor, Northern Uganda. This vital piece of medical equipment will help address the hospital’s neonatal care needs, particularly for premature and low-birth-weight infants.
The donation comes at a time when Uganda faces significant neonatal health challenges, with an infant mortality rate of 43 per 1,000 live births. St. Mary’s Hospital, serving over two million people, including patients from neighbouring countries, was critically under-equipped to handle neonatal care. Movit Foundation’s incubator will help alleviate this shortage, giving hundreds of babies a better chance at survival each year.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the National Drug Authority (NDA) for facilitating the documentation and approvals that made this donation possible. Movit Foundation remains committed to its mission of bridging healthcare gaps, and we look forward to continuing this partnership with NDA to deliver more essential resources to underserved communities.
